Small Group Sessions are a cost effective way to regain your fitness, learn different ways to stimulate weight loss and improve your athletic ability. Unlike in a gym environment, our group sessions are always limited to a group no larger than eight in a private studio setting; every participant gets personal training.

Our sessions include various methods of resistance training:

At Sue Cullen Personal Training Studio we focus on creating a healthier body from the inside out. I teach my clients to visualize their body working at the cellular level.
It is amazing that with each step we take, each breath we breathe there is an instant connection from our brain to the muscle we want to activate. Most of the time we do not pay attention and our body is on autopilot. However when we exercise I encourage you to focus. Learning new exercises will create stronger pathways from our brain to the working muscle. Our cellular structure becomes efficient and strong. For young and old this is crucial to great health in the present and future.

Small Group Sessions for Kids ages 8 to 19
Years ago I thought the best environment for our children was to exercise was through play. Building their cardiovascular and muscular systems while playing outside in their neighborhoods as I did and my own children did. We spent hours running, jumping, biking and playing. Our balance, strength, and endurance became strong. Socially we practiced compromise while competing with others.
This has changed with our children being less physically active – more time in front of a computer, playing electronic games and more time on the phone. This less active childhood lifestyle has led to a major health crisis. Childhood obesity has grown to epidemic proportions. Now there are over 23 million of our 2 to 19 year olds overweight and obese. Additionally, higher caloric foods have been a variable in creating this situation. It has become clear that more awareness to our children’s environment, physical activity level and nutritional needs is necessary to stop this tragic epidemic. Our children are being stricken with adult chronic diseases, such as hypertension, osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, and arthritis.
Awareness and knowledge is the first step in reversing this trend.
Today small group workout sessions will take us out of the obesity epidemic and build a healthy physical base. We will give our children the knowledge to make the best lifestyle choices for a brighter future.
Exercise is a proven prescription to preventing and reversing all our degenerative diseases. In many studies it has been documented that increased muscle mass will improve bone density. For our young children we should encourage running, jumping and skipping as these activities create more muscle and improve bone mass density.
Group activities are positive and fun for young and old. Studies have shown that women participating in group work out sessions improve their muscular structure and bone mass density more than working out on their own. Children and teens would also benefit from this format.
Small group exercise sessions are an indispensable source of knowledge for our children to learn lifelong skills to improve their physical fitness and wellness. Small groups of 4 participants are conducive to teaching proper form and technique for resistance training. The group atmosphere is fun and promotes motivation, support and commitment. The consistency of a continuous weekly program enables proper progression.
